Scholars Portal Now a Trusted Digital Repository

If you regularly use the Library's electronic resources, chances are you're familiar with Scholars Portal, a platform that provides access to countless articles, e-books, and data. The Library is happy to announce that Scholars Portal recently received designation as Canada’s first certified Trustworthy Digital Repository (TDR).

What does this mean?

TDR certification is the only “generally recognized certification” for digital archives. Essentially, it means that the Scholars Portal repository is backed by a commitment to responsible stewardship that will ensure long-term access to Scholars Portal collections. To achieve this certification, the Center for Research Libraries evaluated Scholars Portal in three areas (organizational infrastructure, digital object management, and infrastructure and security risk management).

The Library congratulates Scholars Portal staff on this terrific accomplishment!
