, Associate University Librarian, Information Resources and Academic Excellence, Ext. 32882
A familiar face for many, Annie first arrived at the Library in 2008 as the Head of Information Services and Resources in the Dana Porter Library. Since this time, she has become known within the Library and across campus for her efforts in the areas of web accessibility and information architecture. Her achievements in these areas include leading the information architecture development of the faculty websites and championing AODA implementation for providing accessible customer service and web accessibility.
Widely recognized for her dynamite project management skills and service development expertise, as AUL for Information Resources and Academic Excellence, Annie will apply these skills to lead the Library’s development, delivery, and ongoing management of information resources and services to ensure that resources and services support academic excellence and remain responsive to the current and future needs of the university community.
In this position, the next few years will focus on three supporting pillars that are key," Annie says. "These are a continued focus on collection lifecycle management, a proactive approach to ensuring accessibility to our resources and services for all, and on strengthening our local, provincial and national consortia partnerships to drive positive change and value for the community."
As a member of the Library Executive, Annie will help to direct the Library’s strategic planning, budget, collections, and policy development and will represent the Library on university committees and in provincial and national associations and agencies.
Outside of work, Annie enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband Adam and two preschoolers Zac and Zoë. These days, she’s also sporting a new hair colour – bright red – in recognition of meeting her fundraising goal for a recent walk for Multiple Sclerosis.
