Finding books in Library's locations just got easier! The Library recently launched a "Where is it?" feature in Primo that shows you, with a single click, the exact locations of items within the Library. With this new tool, you can search for items in Primo and then use the "Where is it?" links to see maps of where the items are physically located.
The “Where is it?” feature is available from the search results page within each item record for any items held at the University of Waterloo and the University of Guelph libraries. Laurier items are currently excluded, but we will be working to enable this functionality for Laurier by the end of the summer.
This new "Where is it?" feature in Primo integrates existing electronic Library floor plans (which library staff created and have maintained for many years) with Primo.
Here’s how the “Where is it?” feature appears in Primo, with links available in item records:

Once clicked on, the “Where is it?” link takes you to a page with a map which illustrates where the item you are interested in is physically located:

We would love to hear your feedback on the “Where is it?” feature. Please take a moment to provide some comments about this new enhancement to Primo by filling out a brief survey.
This new feature is the result of the efforts of many library staff members at the University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University libraries. We hope you enjoy it!
