The Library is pleased to announce its latest lineup of renovations! In coming months, we will be upgrading and transforming the instructional rooms in the Dana Porter and Davis Centre libraries, completing the renovation of the Dana Porter's 6th floor, fixing heating problems in the Davis Centre Library, and hopefully moving forward with the next phase of the Dana Porter Library's patio renovation. In an effort to simplify our in-person services for students and other visitors, the Library is piloting a single-service desk model in the Davis Centre Library for the next year. This pilot aims to take the guesswork out of "whom do I ask about this?" whenever questions arise, by cross-training circulation and research help staff to a greater extent. This will greatly reduce the need to refer users to a different staff member. Technical support questions will still be handled separately. [full article - Service Desk] 20 June 2013
Finding books in Library's locations just got easier! The Library recently launched a "Where is it?" feature in Primo that shows you, with a single click, the exact locations of items within the Library. With this new tool, you can search for items in Primo and then use the "Where Is It" links to see maps of where the items are physically located. [full article - Where Is It?] 20 June 2013
Free public scanning is coming soon to the Dana Porter and Davis Centre libraries! The Library has teamed up with Retail Services to provide one scanner at each location. [full article - Scanners] 20 June 2013
