Timeframe
The TriUniversity Group of Libraries (Waterloo, Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier) will be upgrading the TRELLIS library system software beginning at 6 pm on Wednesday, December 12. TRELLIS is expected to be available again by Tuesday, December 18.
Backup Available
During the upgrade, access to a backup catalogue will be available for users at http://library.wlu.ca/searchme. The information in this backup catalogue will be current to December 11.
Affected Services
Users will not be able to place online holds or recalls, use self-charge, do online renewals or registration, or see current status information. Requests for items will be accepted at the circulation desk, or by emailing LibCirc@uwaterloo.ca. Staff will manually record the details and apply the requests once TRELLIS is restored. It will not be possible to request copies of journal articles from TRELLIS (i.e. TUGdoc requests). Access to the regular and reserve collections will be normal.
Not Affected
Other Services and Resources for Research (e.g., Interlibrary Loan/RACER, Ask a Librarian, Research Databases, Electronic Journals) accessed from the Library's web site will remain available during the upgrade period. eReserves accessed from the library website and from courses in UW-ACE will also remain available.
Fines
Fines will not accrue during the upgrade period.
Completion
The upgrade is expected to be completed and full TRELLIS services restored by Tuesday, December 18, 2007.
