The Renovations Team and architects have articulated the following principles to guide the renovations. Together, with input from students, faculty, and others, they will strive to:
- Create a Welcoming, Vital Space that members of the campus community will find inspiring and enriching
- Open Up the Exterior Views to the Public, highlighting the arched windows around the exterior
- Increase the Amount of Public Space to meet the needs of the growing student population
- Encourage Information Discovery through the use of our services and resources
- Maximize Flexibility in Physical Design, making the floor adaptable to change
