Community Needs Assessment Process Group
Meeting Notes
Date: 1999 March 30
Time: 1:30-3:00 p.m.
Place: Dana Porter Room 407
Purpose: Evaluation Needs, etc.
Present: Amos Lakos, Annette Dandyk, Connie Pantic, Michele Sawchuk
Absent: Anne Fullerton
- Agenda accepted.
- Library Council. Connie reported on the progress of getting a report
back from LC about
the progress of implementation of the recommendations that came
out from the Library
Study Space Survey and Report. Connie will continue pursuing this
issue at the next LC
meeting.
- WEB Feedback proposal. The proposal was passed on to Ron Mackinnon.
Ron informed
CNAPG that ho forwarded the proposal to the new TUG Web Group for
consideration
and action. Annette will send a letter to Jim Parrott restating
CNAPG’s
interest in
pursuing this issue.
- Discussed the possibility of creating an infrastructure to
enable ongoing library focus
group activities and discussions on various library topics with students.
Possible topics
may be: - do we need a current serials area in Porter – scope,
location, etc. The group will
approach selectors and other staff to solicit interest and topics.
- Adding personel to the CNAPG group – the group discussed
the viability of adding more
people to CNAPG. We will approach individuals who showed interest.
- We will appoint a recorder for each meeting.
- We will continue advocating the need for Web Usability Studies as
part of the creation of
the new TUG Web. We will approach the appropriate members of TUG
Web.
- For next meeting – finish work and report on "categories" of
the Customer Feedback
Reports.
Next Meeting – Tuesday, April 27th , 9:00-10:30AM – Porter
