The following items represent database delivered services of the UW Library currently being published using ColdFusion.
Description:
The Co-operative Learning Object Exchange (CLOE) is a collaborative project of fifteen Ontario universities to develop an innovative infrastructure for joint development of multimedia-rich learning resources.
The CLOE system, running under Zope and accessing a MYSQL database, is a repository of metadata of learning objects. The system is restricted to CLOE members allows searching of the database and has a maintenance modules which allows distributed processing from around the province.
Location:
The system operates on the Library computer, pilot.uwaterloo.ca which runs both Zope and the MYSQL database.
A webservice delivering records from the same database runs under ColdFusion MX on the Library computer "train2.lib.uwaterloo.ca."
Content Responsibility:
The LT3 Centre in the person of Peter Goldsworthy is responsible for the operation of the CLOE system and its content although content is entered and maintained directly by individuals assign responsibility at each participating university.

Description:
This module of the UW Library provides access to a selection of electronic theses and dissertations submitted by graduates of the University of Waterloo. These theses and dissertations have been accepted by the University as a partial requirement of a degree program at the Master's or PhD level.
Beside the public search module the system has a metadata creation and maintenance process, an administrative module for activations or approval of theses and a module allowing student to upload copies of their theses into the system for evaluation.
An OAI (Open Archives Initiative) module has been added which allows the remote harvesting of records.

Description:
The Journal Indexes service provides access to the journals indexes offered by the TUG Libraries providing a different header and footer depending upon the user's library. (http://journal-indexes.uwaterloo.ca/)
There is a subject maintenance module which allows the linking and unlinking of a number of subject terms to a record.

Description:
A searchable directory of library staff from all the OCUL university libraries in Ontario. A local module allows the look and feel of the local library to be applied to the public display (http://ocul-staffsearch.uwaterloo.ca/)
The system has a distributed maintenance module including a bulk uploading function and an overall administrative module.
