     Title of minutes should reflect new name "Working Group"

4.   CMC Task Group on Electronic Data Acquisitions
     The group has yet to meet.

5.   CANSIM/EPAS
     Nothing to report

6.   Codebooks
     The code books from DCS have arrived and are now in LIB 222. 
     Codebooks for new data will be obtained and made available
     electronically.

7.   Census and GSS data
7.1  Inventory Sue Moskal reported that Laine Ruus will find a
     way to let CARL consortium members know what data has been
     released.

7.2  Description    Sue and Doug are still working on
     descriptions of what we have at UW.

7.3  Acquisition    The next time files are to be acquired Debbie
     and Albert will plan to be present to learn the details.

7.4  Geographic Files    Questions remain, Richard will contact
     Laine.

8.   User Interface
     Bill agreed that the web is still in the future and that a
     Gopher service would be available to more people on campus
     faster.  The following preliminary structure was outlined as
     a preliminary draft; Bill will develop a prototype.
