1.   Minutes of Previous Meeting
     none

2.   Business Arising
     Albert Kemp and Debbie Tytko have arranged to meet with Jan
     Willwerth to learn about FTPing the Census files.

3.   Additional Agenda
     7.   Storage of data.

4.   CANSIM/EPAS
     The latest reports indicate that DCS will purchase the disc
     drive and the CANSIM data, The Library will purchase the
     EPAS software.  

5.   Census and GSS data
     Nothing additional this week.

6.   User Interface
     The interface was discussed briefly, .  Doug will look at
     other data service Gophers to see how others have done it
     and distribute copies of screens.

7.   Data Storage 
     Albert Kemp reiterated the data storage problem with respect
     to the Census material mentioned above in 2. Business
     Arising, pointing out that he doesn't yet know where this
     new block of data will reside.

8.   PMB Dataset
     R. Pinnell discussed the PMB (Print Measurement Bureau)
     dataset from Harris Media that Recreation is interested in
     leasing.  Richard suggested that selectors have a set of
     questions to ask suppliers, such as the amount of storage
     needed, and answers for some of supplier's standard
     questions prepared by Systems. He also suggested that a
     hardware surcharge be added to any purchases in electronic
     formats.  Some of this is best referred to CMC.

9.   E-STAT Demo
     R. Pinnell has arranged for a demonstration of E-Stat Thurs
     may 5 at 3:30pm, place to be announced.

     Wednesday, April 20,  1:30 pm,  LIB 4280
