Minutes of the Previous Meeting accepted with no changes 2. Business Arising - none 3. Additional Agenda - none 4. CANSIM/EPAS Charles Woods reports that the CANSIM updates now seem to be working. Bill Oldfield will be looking at retrieving meaningful statistics. Doug Morton will start editing the help fields and screens The following individuals have been given temporary access (approx. one week) to examine the WWW CANSIM retrieval pages: Walter Piovensan (Simon Fraser University), Vivienne Monty (York University), Bo Warnschneider (University of Guelph). Andrea Chappell is working on the secure telnet programme. 5. Census, GSS, & VAW CENSUS Because the library gopher is no longer being developed, access to the census will be redone as Web pages in HTML. Census files need to be moved over to library. Albert Kemp will move these over after space requirements are evaluated. The same structure will be retained and menu pages built. Sue Moskal will be trained by Marina Wan to create HTML pages. GSS and VAW files will also be moved to library. Doug Morton will speak with L. Hastings about a logo and standard style for the EDS pages GSS - nothing new VAW Doug and Carol will modify the SAS and SPSS stub files. 6. User Interface All remaining equipment for Room 222 has been ordered. Doug will consult Charles Woods about the need to link to a specific printer in order to use Docutech.
