Minutes of Previous Meeting - Deferred. 2. Add'l Agenda - No items. 3. Budget Memo - In her memo of March 1st, Sue Moskal proposed two new funds for the acquistion and purchase of EDS materials, for the coming fiscal year. The EDS "General" fund will be for the purchase of data files (ie. ICPSR, DLI, etc.), while the EDS "Support" fund will cover hardcopy books (ie. codebooks, gateway fees, etc.). Doug Morton proposed using subject specific funds with "on behalf of" as a note. This would of course depend on the nature of the purchase. 4. U of T Services - Doug Morton reported that the Univ. of Toronto is moving ahead with its plans to offer electronic access to their Census and CANSIM databases. Doug will contact Chris Leowski at EPAS to get additional information on this. 5. Progress Report for PPG - Doug Morton presented a preliminary report summarizing the progress of the group, for review. The report outlines our services for CANSIM, 1991 Census, GSS, VAW, etc. However, Doug mentioned that the report has yet to include access statistics for our services, as well as the future direction of the group. Eventually, the finished document will be available via UWELIB. 6. DLI Update - Albert Kemp informed the group about a special e-mail account that has been set up for DLI requests and correspondence. The account has limited access and will be used primarily by Debbie Tytko (MAD-Serials). So far, the new account has been working very well. 7. EDS Usage Evaluation - Albert Kemp demonstrated a Web form that can be used to gather access statistics for the services EDS offers thru the Web. Currently, users can get monthly profiles for access to specific pages, over the past year. Albert plans to include the ability to profile all services simultaneously. 8. EDS Publicity - After consultation with Mary Stanley of the Library Office, the infor- mation has been revised in preparation for publishing in the Library's FYI newsletter.
