Mid-Sept Update
The Davis Library opened the first week of classes, September 13. Each day, more services have been available. Most recent is public printing which was set up Mon. Sept. 20. Many study tables now offer power and internet connections and all the express workstations have been set up.

As soon as the Information Commons tables have been raised an inch, the new IBM PCs will be hooked up. This will double the number of computers available and provides access to MS Office software. So far, the tables have been well used by students studying or working on assignments with laptops. I see the comfortable new Info Commons chairs have started to migrate to other areas in the Library.

We expect the real entrance and exit and the Davis Copy Centre will open the first week of October. Included in this area are lounge chairs for comfortable reading, meeting friends and drinking coffee (you have to bring your own coffee).
