Context/Background: The Davis Library is a popular place for students to study and congregate. Noise levels and complaints about noise escalate with popularity. In recent years, the Library has responded to the noise problems with extraordinary measures which focused on behavioural intervention through:

Goal: without increasing the footprint of the DC Library, improve the student learning experience and the working environment for staff through renovations that eliminate noise complaints
