1. Minutes of the Meeting of February 1, 2000
   Approved with the following changes:
   Numbering under point #5 changed to 5.1, etc...

2. Continuation of discussion about the ISR/Systems Relationship

   i) Linda Teather provided an overview of the Library Systems Department organizational chart. A brief question and answer period followed during which the following items were discussed:

   • During the reorganization process, the systems department reviewed several models. They eventually decided on the model which seemed to fall naturally into place.
   • Some concern was expressed that the systems department has had 3 technicians for many years but the number of workstations that they must support has increased significantly (over 300), a large portion of which will be aging at the same time.
   • A co-op student placement has been approved for the summer semester in the systems department and they are applying to continue funding for a permanent co op placement
   • Carl and the 3 technicians meet approx. each week to assign priorities and responsibilities
   • Systems is currently reviewing the Help Desk procedures

   ii) From the lists created by both ISMC and the Systems department, Maureen McCormack had prepared a document comparing the similarities and differences between the needs and expectations of both groups. The committee decided to tackle each po int in this document one by one towards the goal of creating a document outlining recommendations for fulfilling these needs and expectations. When completed, this document will be taken to ISR and Systems for comments.

   The first item discussed was communication as this was a common theme from both ISMC and Systems.
