There was no business arising.
- Call for Additional Agenda Items
- Library monitoring
- LibQuest 'Circulation Desk' facet
- E.D.S. Update – Kathy Szigeti
EDS noted a Davis representative would be a useful addition to the committee membership given the increased use of data and statistics by the patrons that Davis serves.
Action: Kathy will circulate EDS terms of reference to help Davis staff consider EDS representation.
A new guide was created for data and statistics. Davis librarians were asked for links to data for the subjects they cover. The utility of a list of links for datasets was discussed and it was decided no one wants to contribute to such a thing because of maintenance issues.
Action: Kathy was directed to voice these concerns to EDS.
The TDR interface will be substituted with the <odesi> interface sometime in the summer.
- CRCnetBase Collections - Laura
Laura requested input on buying CRCnetBase e-book collections. The merits of obtaining access to this material, and the various licence levels involved, were discussed, as was the importance of perpetual access in Computer Science and the replacement of print copies.
- Retention Policies
There was some discussion of how fine-grained the policies should become. Ben clarified that the collection development policies do impact retention decisions. Doody's Core Titles was mentioned as a good resource for the Health Sciences.
Action: Kathy M. will decide with Doug on the best place to post login information for Doody's.
- Library Monitoring - Martha
Martha highlighted possible inconsistencies in enforcing 'leftover' hot food rules. The need for consistency was noted.
- LibQuest Facet - Jonathan
Jonathan asked how much longer we wanted to retain the 'Sent to Circulation Desk' facet in LibQuest. It was decided to keep this until the end of the Spring/Summer term.
- Around the Table
- Martha: will be going on vacation for a month on 15-Apr-11.

- Ben: invited questions and offered support for retention policies.
