Minutes

Present: Marian Davies, Jane Forgay (facilitator), Christine Jewell, Sandra Keys, Kaja Kulasingam, Rachel McNeil, Judy McTaggart, Leeanne Romane, Carol Steele, Janet Wason, Margaret Yuen, Agnes Zientarska-Kayko (recorder)

  1. Approval of the previous minutes.
    Minutes of Sept. 23, 2011 were approved.

  2. Business Arising from the minutes
    There was no business arising.

  3. Around the table.
    Sandra shared with us ICPSR promotion materials.
    Margaret is working on the Library Report for the new Master of Climate Change program.
    Janet let us know that the thermostat controlling heating in Just in Time room is located in study room A in the Adaptive Technology Centre.
    Marian, Rachel and Agnes are going to Musagetes Architecture Library on Thursday, Oct. 27th to conduct Primo Central testing.

  4. Library Review Porter ISR’s self-study.
    Porter ISR staff members worked on ISR review document.
    The document was divided into 8 sections:

    • Collection (Info Resources)
    • Electronic Resource Management
    • Information Literacy
    • Services
    • Management & Supervisory
    • Professional Development
    • Other
    • Liaison

The department members were split into small groups and given some time to work on the updates.
The groups came back to wrap up.
Carol volunteered to upload the split document to the SharePoint. Each group will update their section of the document. It was agreed, that the updates will be completed by Wednesday Nov.2nd.

  1. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov 4. (This meeting was subsequently cancelled.)
