• Ongoing training
• Will be working with the weeding group

• Created a quiz using D2L
• Investigating the creation of a blog for Planning
• Working with Ben to create the print subject guides for ERS/Planning
Nancy
Alison
• Adapting to new position
• Involved in campus wide committees: news groups on campus activities and marketing round table.
• Involved in the Library Review as the communications person
• Working on Library Update to be released soon
• Library Love buttons will be re-released
• Modifications of outreach committee to involve students
Janet
• Since the beginning of term, Janet’s been busy with student requests for alternate format versions of textbooks, but that activity has now died down. She’s assisted Margaret with library orientation session for Faculty of Environment grad students.
• Two upcoming webinars:
o “Serving Deaf Patrons in the Library”, Feb. 22 and 29, noon to 1:30 p.m., sponsored by the Library
o “Online Accessibility for Students with Disabilities” March 28 and 30, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. MC 2009, sponsored by IST and OPD
Carol
• Working on the training committee
• Working on a training guide for SharePoint administrators
Judy
• Working on Infodesk scheduling and training
• The 3rd desk schedule for this term will be developed shortly. Please provide feedback
• Judy will be examining the backup pilot and reviewing the related stats
• Judy is coordinating Aziz’s training
• The training committee will be revamping the training development template. There will be three separate training templates for Co-op students, Associates and Librarians
Rachel
• Busy doing instruction for LINC sessions
• There has been lower attendance at LINC sessions across the board
• Working on Screencasts
• Co-wrote an article with Annie for the Feliciter
• Primo Central implementation – opportunities for involvement are coming up, e.g. labels, testing, subject coverage assessment
• Co-chair of New Skills for New Times with Jamie Reilly – will have lots of avenues for staff participation even if you're not on the working group
• ELUNA conference – I am program coordinator for Primo track; I’m presenting on the Primo Cognos cube (and hope to also do this at a joint ISR meeting) and also presenting on the Primo central trial with Randy (UG) and Dillon (WLU)
• Updating the e-resource/e-book cataloguing spreadsheet for Christine
• Trying to create MARC records for Odesi; working with UG to do an XML to MARC crosswalk; doing some testing of MARCit (an SFX product for e-journal records) with TUG Cat
• Involved in “Code Year” – learning some javascript through codeacademy.com
• On Pan-Canadian RDA Training Group – creating modules for RDA training; launched 4 modules at OLA; helping LIS educators in Ontario to figure out when to start teaching RDA
• (note: in this context RDA = Resource, Description and Access NOT Recommended Daily Allowance)
Tim
• The Library Channel group is looking into new projects
• The number one RefWorks question recently has been about the group code
• Tim was working with Lorna and Sandra on a LS 102 session
Annie
• Completed the UML transfer report for Libexec
• There is discussion within Webops about the web re-design
• The annex is still closed
• Annie is the liaison librarian for Liberal Studies – An arts wide program
