The minutes were approved. Judy will post these.
None.
Judy will be convenor for the projected From Pennsylvania to Waterloo session.
Jackie reported that, as a result of conversations with Jennifer and Shabiran, the Info Desks at both locations will be closed for the duration of the Training Retreat: at Davis from 10:00-3:30, and at Porter from 10:30 to 3:30.
Action: Jackie will contact Doug to clarify whether Chat Reference service will be closed entirely, or possibly limited to text chat, with Skype service unavailable.
Judy reported that only 20 people—somewhat fewer than expected—have so far registered for lunch. It was noted that, due to a scheduled Davis Centre fire drill about mid-morning on 29-Apr-08, it would be best to set up for lunch in DC 1568 first thing in the morning.
Jonathan noted that print copies of the Training Retreat invitation had been sent to Davis and Porter ISR staff.
Action: Jonathan will create and run off an evaluation form to include all retreat sessions.
Jackie noted that she will shortly be leaving the committee, and that a new chair will be required. She also reported that Jonathan will be leaving the committee, due to committee requirements associated with his new position, and that Leeanne Romane will be renewing her membership of the committee.
Jonathan reported that 17 people were present for Doug Morton's CSA (Canadian Standards Association) spotlight on 11-Apr-08. All 15 evaluation forms returned indicated either that the session was 'helpful' or 'very helpful'.
Jackie announced that she would be organising the training for Kathy MacDonald. Judy was assigned to conduct the tour of Porter, and Margaret to conduct the introduction to searching session.
The next meeting will be held on 14-May-08.
