Meeting Minutes
October 27, 2011

1) Approval of minutes of October 20th, 2011
The minutes were approved with corrections.
2) Additional agenda
none
3) Business arising
a. Start of term FAQ – deferred to another meeting
b. Tags on wiki - Carol and Jonathan spoke to Martha regarding limited tagging. A tab will be created in the MLIS Lib Guides for the FAQ with links to the appropriate sections of the wiki. In the future the Core Reference trainer insures the appropriate sections of the wiki are updated by contacting the appropriate people responsible for those sections of the wiki.
Action: Carol & Judy will compare the FAQs to what is on the wiki. Martha & Carol will add any missing items on the wiki.
4) Annual Survey results - Carol
The committee began to review the survey and allocate suggestions to lists for future Spotlights, training event, retreat ideas or items to pass on to department heads. Review of the survey will continue next meeting.
Branch Libraries are to be invited to LibQuest.
5) Training New Staff Members
a. Evaluations – The evaluations are being completed by MLIC coop students this week.
b. MLIS LibGuide – deferred
6) Spotlights/Training Sessions
a. ODESI – evaluations – Carol - deferred
b. Copyright – Kathy – Registration and technical set up complete.
c. Deferring planned spotlights to December
d. PMB (Richard P) - Carol spoke to Richard and he plans to recommend cancelling this service to his successor. Therefore a spotlight seems at this point unnecessary.
7) Tasks to do: updating websites etc.
