Connie Kovac (recorder), Zsuzsanna Lancsak, Kathy MacDonald (chair), Judy McTaggart, Carol Steele, Jonathan Sutherland

Guests: Alison Hitchens, Adairsh Ramlall, Larisa Smyk

1) New Skills for New Times – Alison Hitchens

Alison briefed us on what the committee has been working on. A discussion followed.

2) Approval of minutes Date

The minutes of March 29th, 2012 were approved with corrections.

3) Additional agenda - none

4) Business arising

Kathy has contacted LibQuest coordinator (Laura) to access reference questions within LibQuest and will send out a formal request in the near future.

Judy mounted Aziz’s training evaluation comments onto SharePoint

Carol has posted the 2010 Retreat evaluation on the Training Committee Website. Zsuzsanna will forward the 2011 Retreat evaluation to Carol to post as well.

Kathy confirmed that attendees’ comments on the retreat evaluation forms are not posted on the committee’s website.

5) Retreat 2012 – Lunch

Jonathan will have a clearer number of attendees by April 18th for Connie to place the food order.

Invitations – Jonathan distributed the invitation list and it was discussed.

6) Spotlights

Susan confirmed the Mobile Apps Spotlight with Pascal is set for June 1st.

Kathy cannot do Biology Images Library Spotlight June 15th as she will be away that week.

7) Training New Staff Members

Kathy will confirm if Vivian Zhang is being trained for the Porter or Davis desk or both.

8) Next Meeting - ISD Retreat April 26th 2012
