1) Approval of minutes of April 14, 2011

4) ISR Retreat

Evaluation from Participants (Zsuzsanna)

Deferred. Zsuzsanna will send the evaluation by email, and the committee will discuss the results at the next meeting.

Lunch Cost

We had $400.00 for the lunch. The totals (receipts) will be reported at the next meeting.

General Comments/Feedback

One comment received said this was “The Best” retreat. Some were not able to stay for lunch because of various duties – desk/chat etc.

Documentation on website/SharePoint

The retreat poster is up on the website. Kathy will add the PowerPoint presentation on the Millennials by Randy Oldman.

5) Spotlights/Training Session

Reaxys – Kathy S. (Kathy M.) - Ten people attended the session. Six noted that the session was very helpful, while 4 said it was helpful.
Web 2.0 – part 2 (Zsuzsanna) – One person finished the modules.
Statistics & Data Subject Guide – Agnes & Sandra (Margaret) Scheduled for May 20, 2011
QR Code - Kathy S. (Kathy M). Kathy M. will check to see if June 17th will be possible.
RefWorks 2.0 – Margaret is waiting for confirmation on a date from Tim and Sandra.

6) Guidelines and Procedures for the Delivery of Information Services (Draft)

Marian & Judy have been working on the Guidelines and Procedures for the Delivery of Information Services document, which replaces the Policies and Procedures Manual for Information Desk Staff.

This document also acts as a training tool for new staff. Annie has approved this document and Marian and Judy are waiting for feedback from Jennifer. Judy and Marian would like feedback from the Training Committee.

Action: Committee members can email their comments to Judy by May 19th.

7) Training New Staff Members

Librarian tip sheet for creating worksheets/modules (Kathy)

Thanks to Kathy for preparing the tip sheet, she will put it on SharePoint. Judy will do the documentation for Core Reference.

Updating earlier Master Schedules:

Margaret gave Connie the changes that were needed to update Ben and Colin’s master schedules.

8) Membership

Margaret will send out an e-mail to announce the ISR Training Committee membership beginning June 1st, along with the name change.
