    • Chris Gray has changed the title of Connect from Home information page
    • Linda Hastings has changed the Connect from Home link under Help (dropdown menu)
    • Linda Hastings has changed the font for Current News

  3. Agenda Review
    • Add 4. New Home Page
    • All other items move down

  4. New Home Page
    • www.libtest.uwaterloo.ca/index_dec.html
    • Web Search Engines, to be deleted from books, articles, etc. dropdown menu, does not need to go in e-reference collection (it is not the same as Internet Search Tools)
    • Spiral sign in Ask A Librarian button
      • It was noted that there was a lack of discussion at our last meeting and that we should reconsider
      • Inclusion was thought to be largely motivated by the wish to “balance” it with the RefWorks button which has a logo
      • The spiral should be removed for now, leaving Ask A Librarian button as it was
      • Should we be thinking about “branding”? Mary Stanley would be a good resource. Action: Rachel will speak to Mary
    • Remove e-journals button from home page
      • Discussion ensued regarding keeping or dropping the e-journals button at this time
    • Drop button and add sub-headings to new Research Databases button
    • Include the e-journals link on the “Research Databases” page
      • Discussion ensued regarding whether to hold a survey at this time while we’re making changes — No, keep survey until later with major redesign
    • Discussion of new PERMA pages
      • Suggestions will go back to PERMA group. Action: Helena/Christy
    • Leave course reserve button for now pending work being done by Alex McCulloch and Chris Gray on course reserves

  5. Information Services Review Focus Group
    • Christy led a discussion of Marian’s list previously distributed and added her observations from other transcripts from the Information Services Review focus groups. Action: Christy will put together a list from her transcripts and add to Marian’s list
    • Need to discuss approach to focus groups, usability studies (i.e. what we should use, how they should be conducted)

  6. Last home page review
    • Will discuss at next meeting
