1. Notes from meeting of April 5, 2005

The notes were approved with minor changes.

2. Business Arising

2. Business Arising to 8. Usability scenarios - Marina has placed archive file in libwebreview area. Action: Marian will edit-out patron and staff names and email addresses (along with most answers to questions, unless they provide clarification about confusing questions).

3. Agenda Review

Added "Search Revision" as 5.

4. Categories of information and quick links

After much discussion, we settled upon the following (in no particular order, terminology not yet discussed):

5. Search Revision (Google search in top banner)

Bill demonstrated a version of the top banner Google search which included searches of the following:

It was decided that all but the first and last items should be removed. Dan also asked if a TRELLIS Keyword Anywhere search could be included in the drop-down.

Action: Bill will attempt to set up a Google search which includes the following three options (in no particular order):

6. Page width and printing

We will use the same page width as the university template. We'll omit left and right navigation from print-outs.

Marina has asked Susan Routliffe if we can ask users their preference for various wire frames, without needing to get ethics clearance since we will not be asking users for any information about themselves (e.g., whether they are undergraduates, etc.) Susan will ask the Office of Research.
