  1. Notes from April 11, 2005
    Accepted with minor corrections made.

  2. Business Arising
    No business arising.

  3. Agenda Review
    Ideas for a new banner image was added as #6 and changes #6 to #7 and #7 to #8.

  4. Subsites
    Esther showed variations of subsites that she created using the UMD web site. The group discussed the "Guide to Libraries" web page and felt that a more straight forward page was needed such as "Locations" that would combine both Guide to Libraries and Esther's Locations page.
    ACTIONS: Marina will speak to Richard about the idea of linking directly to UMD under a locations page.

  5. Wireframes
    Marina told the group that we need to nail down our wireframe in the next couple of weeks. The group decided that it is preferrable to have "News" items in the centre of the page with short blurbs (2-3 sentences). There are pages in our design that currently have no content, so the group divided up pages for individuals to work on:
    ACTIONS:
    Christy will develop the content for the Doing Research Page
    Bill will develop the E-resources content
    Sandra will develop Help & Instruction content
    Marina will develop Business/Patron Stuff
    Esther will develop About Us content
    The content can be emailed to Esther and she will create the html pages.
    Esther will also drop the redundent links under the Doing Research navigation.

  6. Banner Image
    Rachel requested that the group send her comments about what we would like to see in the new banner image for the library homepage. We can send her concrete image ideas, or just concepts and she will take it to the design team.

  7. Web Survey Statistics
    Christy showed the group the current response statistics to the web survey.
    ACTION: Christy will post results to the libwebreview web site and update them once a week.

  8. Email Reference Questions
    Marina & Marian have been analyzing the questions that come in through email reference. They will continue to do this by flagging questions that are related to categories that they have developed based on the types of questions that are coming in.
