Present: Jane Forgay, Anne Fullerton (Chair), Erin Murphy, Connie Shuttleworth , Ann Neese, Melanie Watkins, Jackie Stapleton (Recorder)

WINTER ORIENTATION:

1. Winter 2000 Orientation
A drop in clinic session was discussed for the winter orientation program
which would replace the individual workshops usually offered. These
sessions would be offered weekly at both Porter and Davis. More details
will be worked out over the next month and discussed at the next meeting.

The grad sessions will be offered as usual.

Action: Jackie will prepare a proposal to be distributed during the ISR
meeting on Nov 5, 1999. A sign up sheet for the sessions for both Davis
and Porter will be created and librarians will be asked to donate their
time.
Action: Anne will send a email to the STS-L listserv asking other
libraries about this service
Action: Erin will perform an ERIC search on this topic.
Action: Anne will ask Rose about placing an ad in the Imprint.

A discussion on the Kiosks will be added to the agenda for the next
meeting.

2. Online Renewal - comments regarding contact information were made in
regards to the help page for the online renewal in TRELLIS

Action: Forward any further comments to Jane. If anyone knows of a simple
way to link the users to circulation desk hours for Davis and Porter,
please let Jane know.

3. The date of the next meeting is changed to December 9, 1999. Jane
will book a room in Porter.

4. WebBoard - this was discussed as a possible mode of communication among
the group.

Action: Group members will try it out over the next month then discuss in
more detail at the next meeting.

5. Fall Term Highlights - A one page summary of the Fall instruction
program (May to December) will be created.

Action: Anne will collect the statistics. It was noted that not all the
statistics have been entered from the Fall sessions and when they are
entered, they are often done incorrectly.
Action: A web page summary will be created. (by who?)
