Accessibility

Keep accessiblity of your web pages in mind: use and combinations of colours, clarity, consistency, use of alt text for images, etc. From Web Accessibility for the Disabled: "The guiding principle of Web page accessibility for the disabled is that when changes are made to improve access for people with disabilities, all users benefit. With attention to clarity, consistency, and content of Web pages, information is more available to everyone."

Please check the Accessibility Checklist prepared by the Web Operational Management Group. This Checklist lists those elements you should consider and gives examples on how to ensure that accessibility is maintained. Note that there is also a link to additional resources.
