Procedures for New Web Maintainers
Send an e-mail message to the Web Operational Management Group outlining:
- your role in web maintenance
- when these responsibilities begin
- which directories you will need to access
The Web Operational Management Group will:
- arrange for Contribute to be loaded on your system
- give you access to file space by assigning a role
- subscribe you to webmaint-l, a listserv that has been established for all Library Web site maintainers
- contact you regarding training - individual departments are responsible to ensure their staff are trained. Training can be handled internally (if trained staff reside in the department) or by attending courses provided by IST. Web Ops group is responsible for those areas that are unique to our site (e.g., setting up the site and particular preferences),
