Minutes of the Meeting of July 4, 2001

  1. Approval of minutes from the meeting on June 20, 2001
    Approved as distributed.

  2. Business arising and Agenda review
    From the minutes of June 20:
    2.3. 404 error page - Chris will implement. He will configure the server to also accept directory by directory 404 pages.

    2.10. Fixing broken links - The idea was proposed to create an Archives area for older unused documents that we could view through a browser, but would not be part of our main Library Web site. We will discuss this further when Charles is present.

    4.Library Web top page design - Linda will be coming in for the CNAPG meeting next week.

  3. Progress Reports
    a) TUG web issues - Chris will send the memo to Mark, with a copy to the Web Ops Group.
    b) Rose Koebel's training - all the necessary software and permissions have been put into place. Linda will train Rose when they're both back from their vacations.

  4. Report on Zope, Cold Fusion, etc.
    Bill updated our group on the developments in the E-journals service project. Parallel developments with both Zope and Cold Fusion continue. Waterloo hopes to be able to mount the Zope database in August.

     
  5. Review of the Roles of Facilitator and Recorder
    Following an alphabetical sequence, Charles will be the next Facilitator and Bill will be the next recorder. These new roles will begin in September and continue until the end of February, 2002.
  6. CNAPG Study - Techical Issues
    Esther will summarize our discussion and send it to the group via e-mail. Please review and discuss via e-mail.
