  4. Report on the UWinfo meeting
Chris and Marina reported on the UWinfo meeting held with web developers on campus. The new UWinfo home page is expected to be up in a few days. Pages in UWinfo will have the UW logo at the top-left corner, dropdown menus at the top, and a highlighted menu on the left. Web developers can adopt the format, but develop their own menus and use UW colours in their designs. The main question to ask when designing a site is: "How do you know you are at UW?"

  5. CNAPG design of top-page
Linda reported that CNAPG went through card-sorting and the first draft. There will not be a new home page for the Fall term.

  6. Staff Web Review
Marina Reported that Kevin Rampersad was recruited to be a member on the team. Because of vacation times, the first meeting will be held in September. Meanwhile, Linda will consider the drafts of a new homepage and navbar, developed by Esther, and UWinfo's new homepage and format of subsequent web pages, and then develop a new functional image for the Staff Web. Marina will continue to research on ways of getting input from staff, e.g., one survey vs. surveys with limited number of questions, on different aspects or at different stages.

  7. Future WebOps Meetings
Marina will continue to facilitate in future WebOps meetings. Recorders will take turns in an alphabetical order and will switch every term. Bill will be the next recorder to start in September.

  8. Open Text Software
