  2. Business Arising
    6. Jesse Rodgers is waiting on the installation of a second LAMP system to install the W3C validator at UW.

  3. Agenda Review
    #7 Discipline pages - was moved to #4.
    #6 Tips series on webmaint-l - deferred.

  4. Discipline Pages
    David and Christy presented the test discipline designs to ISR. All agreed to reduce the amount of white space under the navigation bar and to leave the right margin as a fixed width. It was noted during earlier usability testing that users usually do not like designs that include a large area with white space in the right margin. But with the discipline design, a fixed width looks and works the best. It was suggested that usability testing be done specifically on the discipline pages.

    David will make the changes approved by ISR on the test site. The heading will be centered.

  5. CMS & Macromedia Contribute
    Jesse Rodgers of Communications & Public Affairs introduced the group to Contribute, a program by Macromedia that automates much of the content management of a site and makes it easy for the non-html user to maintain their own web pages. We found the program very interesting.

  6. Training Session for Web Maintainers
    Marina will contact Mark to see if a decision has been made on the CSS project.
    David will deliver a presentation on CSS and templates in the Davis Conference Room on April 21. Esther will make arrangements with Michael to install Dreamweaver MX 2004 on the computer in that room.

  7. Around the Table
    David has created a script that automatically updates the date beside the Renovation News link on the home page (both javascript and text only versions) whenever the blogger is updated. He will show Linda how to implement it.
