- Webbits (Tips) series
Marina reported that the first Webbit email will be sent on Sept. 28. There will be three more Webbits fall term and five in the spring. A directory has been set up for all Webbits sent during the year. This can be found at sub-directory "webbits" in the directory "/staff/webmaint". There will be brown bag lunch discussions after every 3 tips are distributed. Marina will change "notify" to "please contact" in the address line of the Webbit.
- ERM Implementation Update
Bill reported that ERM (Electric Resource Management) is set to go live Sept. 13th. There will be no XHTML and no style sheets. The impact to the public interface will be minimal.
- Special Collections' employment of external web service
Anthony Robbins has been hired by Special Collections to work on a web-based oral history project. Marina will meet with him to introduce our web creation and maintenance guidelines and general principals.
- Database page design
Bill suggested that a small working group be struck to suggest a "look" for the ERM pages. This group would consist of six volunteers from CNAC, ISR, and WebOps. Marina pointed out that we might like to wait to see what the official UW design might look like. A re-design of our homepage will likely be needed as well.
- Around the Table
