#6 - Home page quick poll
ACTION: Esther will pass the specifications for the application on to Chris.

Library Wikis - the host name will be wiki.lib.uwaterloo.ca and wiki2.lib.uwaterloo.ca if a second host name is needed.
ACTION: Chris will work on getting the Wikis back up and consolidating the two into one instance of MediaWiki. He will contact Charles for hostname registration at the appropriate time.
#6 - Library Blog - A decision has been made to go with the WordPress software.
ACTION: Chris will get the Blog back up and look at issues of running multiple blogs with WordPress, delegating creation of new instances, and having entry authors display on the blog page.

- Proxy Login Page
It was decided to go ahead with the redesign of the EZProxy native login page rather than continuing to use our substitute. Simplifying the CLF reduces the need for maintenance and EZProxy can recognize a user is already logged in.
ACTION: Chris will make it so and put in place the necessary redirects and change to the ERM database for Go Script functioning, and will let others know when the new login is live.
- Google Analytics script
The script does not yet work when placed in an SSI and if it is added to the Dreamweaver template every page needs to be touched.
ACTION: Chris will investigate the possibility of getting the script to work in an SSI and failing that will work on a Python script to add the script to each page.
- Archiving Group Webstites
It would be nice if sections of the Web site that no longer need to be on the live site could be archived in some way that is accessible off-line.
ACTION: Chris will pass the details of the free HTTrack website copier onto Carl's group and ask that it be installed on Esther's machine to try out.
- Web Projects (cont.)
Most of the projects identified as high priority are moving forward toward a January target date.
- Around the table
Esther - There is a test of public printing for wireless access going forward in Davis.
- IST is offering a course on Web forms.
- Wondering who will be taking over support for .htaccess files and cgi form scripts when Marina retires.
Dan - is presenting at WatITis this year on the library's use of Wikis. Bill is presenting on DSpace at the same session.
Chris - is participating in the operations group for the campus Mobile and Multimedia Networking Project. The plan is to investigate replacing land lines in residences with mobile networking and giving students smartphones.
