Dan reviewed facebook applications done by U of Alberta and UBC. Doug raised the question of how much a Facebook App is a priority. Allan suggested we need to (1) do research, (2) get Primo going, and (3) talk to the Web priorities group. Action: Allan will follow up with Kenton Good at U of A and ask how they track usage and get quantitative data and he will bring the matter to the attention of the priorities group. In the meantime, we can keep working on a prototype. Chris suggested asking the Web4Lib list for feedback on experience with Facebook Apps.
We agreed all members would read a part of one of the books "Don't Make Me Think" and "The Elements of User Experience" for each meeting and to set aside time to discuss the reading at each meeting. We will begin with the first chapter of "Don't Make Me Think".
Chris presented a mind map of some brainstorming done to outline the possibilities for training.
