- Business Arising
Esther made a list of Contribute users. Library staff only using Contribute for non-library projects will not get the updated version of Contribute at this time. Contribute will be installed on one of the reference desk computers in both Porter and Davis.
#4 The “Connect from home” modification is complete. Esther completed her project on standardizing “Connect from home” terminology.

#5 Bobbi Bee will be discussed by Nancy.

- “Connect from Home” Bobbi Bee image
There was some negative feedback about the Bobbi Bee image. It will be replaced by an image of the University Mascot.
- Clickable Banners
Discussion included location of the banner and tying it in with the quick polls. The topic of clickable banners in a prominent location will be examined after the web re-design. Refreshing the idea from Dan’s initial examples will also be useful.
- Around the Table
- Chris – Attended an IST professional development seminar. Allan Kirkland reported on some publications of Edward Tufte regarding icon usage and the visualization of information.
- Esther –Nothing.
- Doug –Nothing.
- Tim –LINC will not be promoting the Dan Sich memorial widgets in any sessions. Allan wants a web page that includes the promotion of all library widgets (http://www.lib.uwaterloo.ca/widgets/).
- Charles –Nothing
- Allan –Attended WCMS meeting. Looking at needs assessment focus groups. Allan has been talking with Michele about the possibilities for design changes to the Musagetes web site.
