  4. Social Media Review
Nancy presented an overview of the Social Media Review that she recently conducted which looks at the Library's use of social media. She highlighted the Library's current participation on specific social media platforms and identified considerations to address as we move forward with developing goals, guiding principles, and a governance structure for our Social Media Strategy. The group provided feedback on the review and recommended that a sub-group be created to help develop the strategy moving forward.

  5. Update on Usability Testing
Marian reported that the Survey Research Centre (SRC) has sent a draft of the User Needs Assessment Survey Final Report to her and Jennifer. Overall impressions from the survey include that the language and navigation on our current website are positively received. The group pointed out that there can be a discrepancy between what people say and how successful they actually are when using our website. The Treejack and usability testing results will speak more to this. The qualitative analysis data still needs to be analysed. Once this is done, Marian will send the group an update with next steps. Future usability testing will focus on the bX Recommender service, Primo Central, and LibGuides.

  6. Screencasting
Marian indicated that some faculty members are beginning to take advantage of iTunes U. The Library has a channel and Marian will demo it at our next meeting.

  7. Around the Table
    • Chris has been working on integrating D2L with the Course Reserves system.
    • Marian will report on the usability testing highlights.
