  1. Approval of Minutes of September 12
    Approved with minor corrections

  2. Business Arising from the Minutes of September 12
    #2 - There is an agenda item on an update on the meeting with WCMS

    #4 - There is an agenda item on the consultation plan and Annie will give an update

    #5 - Marian: has not finished uploading the usability study report and data
    Pascal: LibExec meets tomorrow

    #6 - Discussion taken off-line

    #7 - The new GIS Map site with modifications of template now in place.
    Annie raised concerns about being more proactive in seeking advice from Systems/developers early in projects rather than after a snag is encountered late in the process

    #8 - Chris: modification to "Resources for Research" page and menu for ebooks is done

    #9 - Graham: change made to make link under Services change from Vending to Supplies & Equipment

    #10 - Chris: link and changes to RACER search form not yet made.  Deadline set for end of October.

    #11 - Alex: has begun exploring automated methods of expiring patrons no longer at uWaterloo.
    Charles: will source docs for importing LibGuides into Primo
    Pascal: will work on setting a priority for importing LibGuides into Primo

  3. Agenda Review

  4. CMS update
    Had meeting with WCMS staff and discussed the Library's unique needs

    Meeting tomorrow to further discuss technical issues with developers

    Steve is exploring a Drupal profile that reduces module dependencies and is more mobile friendly

    Graham is working on migrating ERM from ColdFusion to Drupal.  Still open what we can do to solve the problem of making it easy for content developers to reference library resources with automatic proxying

    Graham discovered an OPAC module available for Drupal

    WCMS team comfortable with Library developing own profile.  Need to clarify what our constraints are, for example, with prositioning and URLs.  Need to clarify what support we can expect from WCMS group.

  5. Governance Consultaion
    Phase 1 -- early to mid November -- training for content specialist -- writing for the web

    Phase 2 -- early December -- general presentation to all staff
  1. User Requirements
    Web redesign plan is not yet approved.
    The plan requires some hiring.

    Requirements need to be written up.
    Pull out lessons learned for user requirements
    Inventory integration points both existing and potential
    Need for different homepages and pathways

    Charles:     will grab Google Analytics stats for our top 100 pages

    Annie: will send out list of action items by email

  2. WebOps membership
    Circulation will be hiring into a new position with web responsibilities.  This person will join WebOps.

    Marian will only be attending WebOps when usability issues are on the agenda

    There was discussion about recruiting a new Porter ISR member for WebOps
