Scanning

Scanning to USB:

  1. Load your document face up in the feeder, or face down on the glass.
  2. Insert your USB in the port next to the control panel.
  3. Select "Store to USB" on the control panel, then "Save in". Navigate to the correct folder and hit "Save" to select the storage location.
  4. After making any required adjustments to the scan settings located at bottom of the screen, press the large, round "Start" button beside the control panel to begin scanning.

Note: Do not remove your USB until the control panel indicates that saving is 100% complete.

Scanning to email:

Please note that you can only scan to @uwaterloo.ca email addresses.

  1. Load your document face up in the feeder, or face down on the glass.
  2. Select "Email" on the control panel.
  3. Enter a valid @uwaterloo.ca recipient by following these steps: Select "New Recipient" ; Use the keyboard on the control panel to enter the full email address; Select "Add"; Select "Close"
  4. You can change the default subject line and message content of the email using the keyboard on the control panel.
  5. After making any required adjustments to the scan settings located at the bottom of the screen, press the large, round “Start” button beside the control panel to begin scanning.
  6. Once scanning is complete, the control panel will return to the recipients screen. Press the “Services Home” button to the left to clear the screen.
